Project overview

Prochang Partner is a mobile application for home-service technicians — air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, and general repair. It lets technicians receive jobs, manage work status, complete tasks, and track earnings inside one structured system.

Unlike traditional job-matching platforms, Prochang Partner was designed not only to improve operational efficiency, but to build mutual trust between technicians and customers.

The problem

Where trust breaks down

The home-service industry lacks a standardized, trustworthy booking process — leaving both customers and technicians uncertain at every step.

Requirements gathering & research
  • Unverified reliabilityCustomers are unsure whether a technician is reliable or properly qualified.“How do I know this person is actually skilled and won't damage my home?”— Customer
  • Fear of cancellationTechnicians risk last-minute cancellations after committing their time and travel.“I've driven across town only to be cancelled at the door.”— Technician
  • No transparencyJob progress and payments aren't transparent or easily trackable for either side.“After finishing, I wasn't sure when — or if — I'd get paid.”— Technician
Research & insights

Reading the signals

Drawing on field interviews with home-service technicians conducted by the product team, three core needs emerged.

Lack of trust

Customers can't tell which independent technicians are reliable.

Customers feel it

Payment uncertainty

Technicians aren't sure they'll get paid after finishing a job.

Technicians feel it

Need for assurance

Neither side has proof of completion or any service guarantee.

Both sides feel it
Design goal

Trust-driven by design — clear confirmation, visible progress, transparent earnings.

The solution

A trust-driven workflow platform

More than a job-matching tool — a structured environment built around trust.

What I'd carry forward

What worked

Designing for trust, not just tasks

Treating trust as a design requirement — verified identities, visible job status, transparent payments — shaped better decisions than optimizing for speed alone.

What I'd do differently

Involve technicians earlier

I’d bring real technicians into wireframe reviews sooner. Their field constraints — gloves, sunlight, one-handed use — surfaced later than they should have.
